Donald MacLaren Memorial Service

The memorial service for Donald MacLaren will be held on St Andrews day (Thursday 30 November) at St Bartholomew the Great church, West Smithfield, London at 1 pm.

It is with great sadness that we wish to inform you that our chief, Donald MacLaren of MacLaren and Achleskine, passed away suddenly on Saturday 22 July after becoming ill at the Balquhidder, Lochearnhead and Strathyre Highland Games.

His passion, energy and commitment to the Clan MacLaren was unmatched, and he will be hugely missed. On behalf of the membership of the Clan MacLaren Society, we would like to pass on our most sincere condolences to Maida his wife, their five children and their family.

A funeral will take place in the middle of August at Balquhidder and there will be a memorial service in Edinburgh in the autumn.

We are pleased to announce that following Donald’s wishes his son Florian will be our next chief and we wish him well with the leadership of our clan.
